Well, in fifteen days I make my way back to Los Angeles.
When I first made this decision part of me felt defeated. I had come up here to make it on my own, to try to finally break out of the rut I've been in. It's been only six months and I'm heading back to the comfort of family and friends.
But there's nothing really wrong with that, is there? I mean, that's why we're all here, to love each other. And I've learned quite a bit about myself during my stretch up here. I finally have some direction for myself.
And now I'm really excited to go back. I mean, Los Angeles can seem very ugly next to the land and cities up here, but it's where I'm from, and where I'm most at home. And I've missed my friends so much. I moved up here with some folks I'm very close to, but there's so many more back home. It'll be nice to have lots of folks to just hang out with again.
Thanks for stopping by and being a friend. Silverwolf signing off.

lordkalkin:
I felt the same way about moving back to New Orleans. On the one hand, I felt a little defeated since I know so many people who move away only to be forced to return, but on the other hand, Tulane was the best choice for me financially and academically (or at least at the intersection of the two). I guess the difference is that I still miss the West Coast and would like to return as soon as my PhD is done. good luck, man.
