Thursday last the AC in the back offices at work decided it needed more love, and quit working until it was given it's proper due.
Now the AC at the store is all connected to one thermostat, which is set to keep our sales floor comfortable. But because it can't circulate much in the back, the break room and offices are often much cooler. My coworkers often complain about it. I usually don't notice. Some of you know I run a little cooler than average anyway, and my body expels a lot of waste heat. Hence my penchent for short sleeves and rep as a great snuggler (like a human teddy bear, complete w/fuzz).
But in this sweatshop that was our back rooms, I was drooping like a delicate flower. And I wasn't the only one.
Now some of you are saying, "Hold on homey, you grew up near the San Bernadino Mts, and those valleys are basically desert." Yeah dude, but in the desert you get a nice dry heat. Here in this place, where it's rained five of the six weeks I've been in town, you get Sauna.
I'm told it routinely gets over 105 in the summer. Gee... I can't wait. :-
