Well, I guess it's time I did a new blog so I thought I's share with you my latest musical toy.
It's actually an electric mandolin. It's based on the shape of a Gibson Firebird and is called a Mandobird. Here's a picure of me playing it.
You'd think with 36 strings to tune before each gig (you can see my triple-neck steel guitar in the foreground) another instrument is the last thing I need. Well, it's only an extra 4 strings to worry about (so I guess it's more a ukulele tha a mandolin) and is a lot of fun to play.
