Landed in Sao Paulo after a LONG day in Rio. But the Daft Punk show was great (for a technician like myself, that means everything worked!)
(A shot of the stage being built)
I also got interviewed for "Music & Technology" magazine along with the house sound engineer. Fame at last!
One of the guys on our crew took us to a Copacabana bar called The Balcony, where it seems all the hookers go after a hard night's work. But there were a lot of them working the tourists, while not ten meters away the Federal Police were parked on the sidewalk watching it all. Is prostitution legal in Rio?
Day before yesterdaqy I got up in the early morning to watch the sun rise over the sea (living in California, I only get to watch sunsets over the sea.) Very lovely. Sat on the beach drinking rum and coconut out of a coconut. A great way to start the morning!
Tomorrow we have to figure out how to cram all of our staging on to a 15 by 10 meter stage with no wings, since the Sao Paulo show had it's venue moved. *sigh* Oh well, that's why they pay me the big money!
Then Monday, on to Santeago!

Prostitution in Copacabana is not legal... is just the main industry (after Hotels).
The police actually is protecting you from street violence and robery.
Copacaban is awesome (just be carefull, some times "she" is not actually "she"... is "he", .. and they have surgery.
Sometimes the only way to figure it out is by their voices. That's it.
.. (I hope is not too late)
As you can see the girls are anxious about the concert. Drop me a line as soon as you have any info!
And see you sooon!
