I suppose it's about time I made another post...
It's "indian summer" time in the Bay Area, and it's been hot! (Well, hot for this part of the world, anyway.)
Pretty quiet otherwise - re-adjusting to life in a single time-zone. I spent some of my hard-earned gig money on buying a guitar. I used to play a long time ago, when I was a teenager, but I haven't owned a guitar in years. So I got a not-too-expensive Yamaha acoustic to knock around on. I almost immediately put blisters on my fingers. Oh well, that's how you get callouses!
I found the announcement for the Daft Punk show in Sao Paulo:
The TIM Festival comes to So Paulo on October 27th - 29th, with groups such as Momboj (Brazil), TV on the Radio (USA), Thievery Corporation (USA), Yeah Yeah Yeahs (USA), Daft Punk (France), and the pianist Herbie Hancock. The festival will take place at Anhembi in the Auditrio Ibirapuera (tickets R$80 - 180, available from Ticketmaster, Tel. 6846 6000, http://www.ticketmaster.com.br )
So Brazilian SG folks, get in touch with me about guest passes to the show...
