I would like to wish my fellow American SG fans a Happy Thanksgiving!!!!
Also, I hope that everyone around the world is doing well tonight.
I have been busy weighing my options for graduate school... While my GRE V+Q score is only 1050, it is good enough for me to apply to the Social Psychology PhD program at Florida State University (FSU,) and the Gerontology PhD program at the University of South Florida (USF.)
The part of the GRE that I had done well at so to speak had been the Analytical Writing Assessment or AWA for short. I had scored a 4.5 out of a possible 6 points on the AWA. So, as far as Florida State University and the University of South Florida are concerned, I am not dead yet... I still have a chance of being accepted.
I have started arranging for copies of my college and university transcripts to be sent to FSU. They should arrive by the December 15, 2009 application deadline for the Social Psychology program at FSU.
I have also been working on two take home finals for two information technology courses that I have taken this fall at Brevard Community College. My first plan for my future is not going well. It is because since I already have a B.A and an M.A (both of which are in psychology,) I am not eligible for financial aid at Brevard Community College. With my present job, I can only afford to take 6 semester hours per semester. It would take me too long to finish my information technology program.
That is why I am applying for admission into graduate school. At least I would be eligible for full financial aid support. Also, I would be able to quit my present job. I am not going to explain why I hate my present job as much as I do.
For the rest of tonight, I am going to type a few corrections to improve my take home finals for my network security fundamentals, and my IT project management classes. Then I am going to watch some television and hopefully I can still go have Thanksgiving dinner with my family tomorrow.
