Hey Everyone,
I hope that you are all doing OK.
I have to admit that things have been sort of dark for me lately... It is mostly my job that has been bringing me down so to speak.
Before doing this blog, I was watching the first two parts of a 4-part HBO Documentary movie: "When The Levees Broke." It is about the 2005 Hurricane Katrina disaster... The movie is a testament to the simple fact that the Hurricane Katrina Disaster was not one of America's finest moments... I have to admit that I felt a great deal of emotional pain while watching "When The Levees Broke." In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, over 80% of New Orleans was under water because of a major failures in the levee system. My favorite city in the world was virtually destroyed. It is a long story about why New Orleans is my favorite city in the world. Now it has been over two years since Hurricane Katrina and about 45% of New Orleans area still looks no better than it did in the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Katrina...
What made this disaster so bad was simply the fact that the United States government does not care about people who are not associated with the oil industry... Or let me say this: if you are not rich, then George W. Bush doesn't give a fucking shit about you!!! I think that is why when this subject comes up, I say to any and all of my fellow Americans that Bush is your President -- not mine, because most of you voted for that Son of a Bitch!!!! And if you don't like what I said about Bush, then KISS MY FUCKING ASS!!!!
Don't get me wrong, but I love America. That is why I have said what I have said about the Hurricane Katrina disaster and Bush.
I think that is why a few days ago, I had written a message to Uni telling her that I was very envious of her. Sometimes, I find myself wishing that I could be her... Uni now lives in a small settlement called Rovaniemi, which is located in Lapland on the Arctic Circle in Northern Finland. At least her favorite place on Earth has not had any sort of major disaster in recent times.
To change the subject, the only real bright thing about my life is that for the past two days, I have been working on a sort of comedy CD... I am thinking about just giving it to a couple of friends of mine. One of my friends is from my place of work and the other friend is a woman that I have know since I attended graduate school at the University of West Florida.
Well that's it for now!!!
Have a good week.
