Weekends just don't last long enough!!!
Lately, I wish that the weekend could last forever...
My job lately has been like Hell on Earth... Not because of the fact that I am a support services worker at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station (CCAFS for short,) but rather because my employer... Basically, my employer has been engaging in unfair labor practices... They have been getting away with it because we have some people on our crew who have disabilities...
In addition, we are trying to gain collective bargaining representation... Why have not done this sooner? We tried several years ago, but it failed because the employer somehow paid off the last labor union we tried to get collective bargaining representation from... In turn, that labor union decided not to stand up for us. Therefore, the US National Labor Relations Board (NLRB for short) at a legal hearing ruled in favor of the employer.
This time things are different, we have enlisted the help of a labor union that will not allow our employer to push it around. The legal battle over our right to be represented by a labor union has begun...
The only downside about right now is that until we are able to vote in a union, things will be very difficult at work to say the very least... The employer will try to make things as miserable as possible for us...
However, WE WILL BE VICTORIOUS!!!!
That is why I have been under a lot of stress. It is one of the reasons why I have been trying to get into truck driving school.
That is also why I love Suicide Girls.com... Looking at the lovely Suicide Girls makes me forget about how bad things are right now for a while...
The reason why I did not mentioned all of this before is simply that we did not want to go public about our situation until after March 9...
Hopefully, our legal battle will be featured on Court TV... Why not? They featured the legal battle over Anna Nicole Smith's dead body and that was nothing but trivial crap..
Now all of you know why I have been mostly living for the weekends. But don't worry I will stay strong for the good of my crew.
Well that's enough about the negative stuff in my life...
Now I will turn to what good is happening in my life:
On Thursday, the package that I sent to a friend of mine was delivered ... I am glad that she received it.
On Friday, I was able to call a friend of mine from my University of West Florida days... Sue is doing quite well... We have been friends for more than 16 years...
Yesterday I had done some shopping at the Cocoa Florida area Wal-Mart... I had to pick up some supplies.
I know it sounds weird for a man to say this but I love to shop. It doesn't matter if it is online or at a local store...
Last night I spent two hours looking at notebook computers... I had gone ahead and bought a Dell Inspiron model 1501 notebook computer. But I figure as long as I can pay for what I buy it really doesn't matter...
While I was shopping for a notebook computer, I was able to get a hold of my sister... Her name is Candi. For those not familiar with American English, her name is pronounced Candy but is spelled Candi...
I wanted to wish Candi a Happy Birthday and see if she would be willing let me take her out to dinner... Basically, I would cover the tap and I told my sister that would not be a problem... Candi said that she wanted to wait and see if she had to do any errands for a friend of hers...
This morning I checked my FL Lotto ticket... I did not win... I might have better luck with this week's FL Lottery Cars and Cash game.. While it is true that the Cars and Cash game doesn't have as high of a pay off as the Lotto game, $250,000 or a new car would be more than enough for me...
Before, I end this blog, I would like to say a couple of things:
First, I would like to say thanks to my family and friend (both on and offline friends) for helping me out over the years...
Finally, I would like to say that when I write my blogs, I am not trying to impress anyone...
For example, when I say that I like to buy things and pay for things for other people, I mean what I say. I don't try to buy people off...
I do make some money but I am not a rich man... I wish I were rich.
Well that's about it for now...
Have a Happy Sunday.
