He was cold and twitching when I found him on the bathroom floor and he didn't respond to my cries. His eyes looked like he was watching a movie and wasn't really there. Like all of this was just some Hollywood script and the lightning and thunder that were dancing outside were just there for ambience, scene enhancement. I was scared to death. How can anyone find their best friend like that? Pale, cold, shaking, and gaspingfuckin gasping for life. The disgusting sound of death knocking and all you can do is hold him and hope things will be okay. The moment stretches into the infinite and seconds feel like forever. Like time and space are one and everything, all of it is sitting in the room watching. Every bullshit, monotonous moment, like picking your noise in the car when you think no one is looking is sitting between the ugly and cruel on the right and the beautiful and sublime on the left. It all fits like some jigsaw puzzle and your moment is that moment and this moment. It all fades into one undying melting pot of life.
Wake the fuck up! What is wrong with you!? What happened!?
Uhhh.mmguhh
Stop mumbling and talk to me! What happened? Steve!
Whaaat? Huh
What happened, did you hit your head?
Huuhh?
Steve wake the fuck up!
Steve what happened to you? Are you okay?
yessswhat happened?
Holy shit man, I dunno. Are you okay
.uhhhyesss
Fuck
I started laughing right then and there. I was relieved. Happiness and anger spread over me. Its a weird feeling to have the two meet. The other side of the looking glass is what was taught but its all-just one. Life and death, happiness and sadness all sit together next to the monotonous. It is all the same. He started coming to and asked me what happened and why I looked so freaked. Steve you muthafucka and I laughed, still holding him in my arms. It became hard to distinguish who was shaking and who was cold. It must have been a sight to see us there, sitting on the bathroom floor with my arms around him while he looked mystified staring into my eyes. Real comedy, I swore all we needed was some cheesy dramatic music and wed be on some daytime soap status. Cut to commercial
