taiwanese cinema is to say the least, very taiwanese. they're quite indicative of the nature of the island -- belonging to everyone else... teh japanese, the chinese, the dutch... its identity rooted in its conquerors and its dying natives. i went to see somewhere over the dreamland and... i really wish there were more information on the atayal and other tribes of little formosa.

This old set only has a coarse knob. Difficult to adjust for the finer things.
