and in my experience, if you want to seriously date someone a few years younger or older in the range of 18-25, you must be very flexible and clear about your expectations. that period is a time of great change and growth, and often individuals come out of it very changed and different people. so if you can adapt to the change (of both her AND yourself), and understand that sometimes both of you may not know what you want because you don't exactly know what the hell is going on half the time, i say go for it. 18 for a girl isn't very young, but also don't expect her to be the grownup you are at 21.
see? you ask for an opinion....and i can't help myself. too many older men in my past, that's all i'll say. the dating was never bad, but we were always in totally different phases of our development (sometimes the guys were even behind me), and nothing lasting came out of it. enjoy your time with her while it's fun. and congratulations. first love is always the most intense.
