HOLA and warm wishes to all of my wonderful compadres here on SG!!!!
I sure appreciate everyone's wonderful notes and friendship! Thank you for being there!!
SoBeIt and I are in the process of selling our house right now. It's been on the market just awhile... but I have found myself becoming quite frustrated at the prospective buyers that come thru to view it. When we bought the house, we painted all of the white walls with fun, funky colors. Not too crazy, mind you, just fun and just, well... US.
We took down most of our artwork before we listed it for sale, because we knew that much of it would offend people - so my walls have seemed bare for awhile because my beloved art (offensive as it may be) is missing .... and yesterday, we had to take down my stripper pole in the bedroom because it seemed that everyone that went into the Master Bedroom got so uncomfortable with the sight of the pole, that they immediately wanted out, out, out....
Isn't it funny that the majority of people are SOOOOO uptight! I mean, it's not like the pole was going to stay - or that it has evil cooties that would stay in the house and "contaminate" it - you know? It's just funny to me.
Sooo.... I'm trying to think positive thoughts and hoping that "the right" people will come thru and love the house... but in the meantime.... it sure makes me thankful for all of the cool people on this site that accept me for who I am and don't judge
I love this quote too that kind of reminds me of this situation as of late:
"I don't want everyone to like me; I should think less of myself if some people did." - Henry James
I have missed a few days of posting "socks of the day"... so I'm going to include 2 different pairs of socks today. We have some little purple sheep socks... and some colorful argyle socks that SoBeIt bought me for Valentines Day. The colors remind me of the yummy Sweetheart candies, so I thought they were the most fun & appropriate pair he could have found.
And, I have a little update on my baby-mohawk. I know it's still so small - but it's growing little by little:
I was thinking this morning of many things that I am thankful for lately.... so here's a small snippet of a few from my list:
SoBeIt's love
my daughter's drawings
foot massages
the smell of coffee in the am
new Alice in Wonderland books
sunshine & temps warming up
my son's hugs in the morning
dreams of moving
nicely healing tattoos
sweet & unexpected compliments
Springtime approaching
new socks with pretty stripes
my other son's mischievous smile
a new episode of The L Word (and seeing Leisha's smile)
yellow and green M&Ms
Share a few from your list with me...
HAVE A GREAT DAY!
