Well, its Saturday, It's rainy, It's wet, and I have to work again. Another Suicide boy stopped by Suicide girls! Once I was blind, but now I do see!
This also happens to be the start of my spring break and as it looks now, will probably happen to be the end of it too in about ten days. On TV I see a lot of programming featuring drunk college jocks and topless girls blackening beaches in the Caribbean with their countless thousands. I wonder, as a naturalist might when studying horseshoe crabs engaged in a parallel mating behavior, "Where do they all come from?" I have been a college student for two years now and I still have yet to find another one who does anything at this time of year but go back to their parents house or work. God forbid, some of them even spend time in the labs doing research or thesis work, or writing the reports that their professors gave to them because they have " all the time in the world to do it".
I think that this is just another corporate-via -govt. way of making us all think that things are OK with the world and with our lives as well. Eat, drink and be merry for tomrrrow you die, but for the increasing workload it takes to sustain those three. As far as I can tell the latter part has something to do with economic growth. It's actually quite Keynesian, I think.
Whats going on in the world out there? Please tell, the newsmen haven't told in years.
