Yo, JimmyJames here!
Alright! My first blog. I kept wondering, "What could I write that wont be borrrrring.....aw screw it I'll just write about what happens today." So I Photoshoped the banner you see above and came up with a random tittle. "A Day At A Studio". I work at an AWESOME, KICK ASS, DOOOOPE as shit recording studio that doubles as a rehearsal space. I see and work with about 80 bands a week that come through Pasadena and LA. So I'm very familiar with the LA scene. Today a band called Kid Finish is taking press photos in the main studio as I'm writing this. let me take a cell phone shot real quick...
Sorry for the crappy cell phone quality, lol =^)
They're good friends of mine. They/re a pop / punk rock / signed band on a Japanese Label and just finished shooting a music video that will air in Japan pretty soon. I'll be sure to show you guys when I get my hands on it.
Also, I met an awesome dude name James Casares. I wont forget him cause he reminds me a lot of my passed away father. Very intelligent down to earth guy. His name might not mean anything to you guys but if you were a big recording artist you'd know him. He's the reason a lot of artists get to their shows. He owns the businesses that take care of all that stuff. He rented a rehearsal space for his son today. It was his sons first time hearing his guitar on a marshal half stack. Had a big smile on his face. I'm very grateful I got to be there for that cool moment.
My cousin Jimmy and my friend Cam just came in.
...
Got the good news that their having a article written about them in PLSN. That stands for "Projection, Lights and Staging News" for those of you that don't know. Turns out they're the youngest and the best live sound, lighting guys in Cali. They came today because after I close Cam is gonna lay down some bass tracks on a new rock electronica project i'm workin on. Jimmy is gonna assist me in engineering.
Well, that was today. There ya go. My first blog I ever wrote. Trust me. A lot of awesome, fun, crazy shit happens all the time. I could tell you tons of stories but I'll save those for slow days =^). As of right now, it's time to record my tasty jams.
Peace =^)
