Well, after about 2 months of holding back on my workout routine, I'm finally back into weight lifting… Thank, God! It feels SO good to get back into shape, and as a bonus from all this motivation, I have been practicing percussion again. YES! I miss drumming, and it feels so good to practice more than once a week. My drive was dwindling because my skill was dropping and I was digressing in speed and precision.
Anyway… After 3 years of having a shitty schedule, I may finally be getting what I deserve… no more tuesday thru saturday… hello Sunday thru Thursday. I finally get to have Friday and Saturday as my set of days off. I'm so excited, but I'm also a little worried. I'm always met half-way with my requests, and I'm wondering if there is a catch that I'm not seeing in this agreement. There usually is…
Either way, I'm still going to keep my eye out for something new. Working for a studio that is the fast-food of graphics is only rewarding when it comes to pay. They don't like training anyone, anymore. They would rather hire freelancers with the appropriate skills to take on special projects, and leave us full timers to the daily grind of news graphics… sucks ass. Pays well, but I feel like I'm on the fast track to no where as I keep working here. I think it's time to get myself back into the grind of learning web.
I'm crazy excited about the new Star Wars movie. I know JJ will do it right. He did a great job with Star Trek. Sure there are a couple things to question, but they were still very entertaining and well done. I think the Cross Guard Light Saber is flipping cool as hell, makes more sense than the AT-AT and its many flaws (Although I do love the AT-AT, its a symbol). Also excited about all the Star Wars based table top games releasing from Fantasy Flight Games this coming year. Armada looks SO EPIC and Imperial Assault looks like it could be a lot of fun… Add X-wing into the mix and you got a pretty insane campaign.
In celebration of the new movie, I decided to host a game at my place, once the new schedule begins. Will finally get to live a life. And to start it off, I will be a Game Master for a large Star Wars RPG campaign for Edge of The Empire. Can't wait, although I can when it comes down to writing the whole damned thing down… I got a lot of work ahead of me. Got to build an event tree…
Anyway… Smash Bros is Awesome. New Pokemon is… well… Pokemon. I love the game and I also hate it… GTA of PS4 is pretty slick, loving the graphics. Inquisition is brilliant with the giant world, great story, and beautiful scenery. This past month has been so expensive, and now enters Christmas. Ah well, Christmas Shopping should be fun… so long as I get it done ASAP.
