There are still two left. They are set to launch on Tuesdays but if one is delayed (likely) you might be able to go to a weekend launch. At this launch one guy came down from Connecticut on a whim. At 10AM he was at a meeting at work, but just before lunch he decided to buy a ticket to come down. He arrived in Orlando just after 3 PM, drove just over an hour to Titusville and ran from where he parked his car to the shore to see the launch.
It was certainly special and I am glad I finally made it down (especially since it was Discovery). I may go down for another one but the pressure is off. Going to this gets me off the hook with my younger version who went to Space Camp and may not forgive me for abandoning the dream of seeing (and feeling) one.
