Today has been a pretty fantastic day so far! Well, not for Dryad, because she had to go into work on her day off. But for me, its kicked ass. After I dropped her off at work I had to pull out on a busy street and I always have to sit and wait and wait because people drive erratically and no one pays attention.. but not today! People saw me and let me right out, that never happens!
Then I went to the bank, and there was a guy with a huge stack of money and a few bags of rolled coins in front of me. He says "I got a lot of stuff to take care of and you have one little thing" and he lets me go ahead of him. Awesome. Then I get to the teller and I have to confirm that I put my account number down right so I don't deposit it into someone elses account. The teller says "that would be good for them, bad for you!" and I tell her, "I work hard for the money. So hard for the money. I work hard for this money so you bettah treat me right!" and everyone at the bank laughed and laughed.. I brightened their day for sure.
Then I get home and have to take care of the unfortunate task of cancelling my TiVo. See, if Tivo were to charge me for this month, I wouldnt be able to make ends meet. I have exactly the money I need in my account to pay rent, and pay my "driver responsibility fee", both things I can't screw around with. I'd be able to turn the tivo back on in two weeks or whatever, but I couldnt afford to have them charge me before I payed the other two bills. So when I called them and I got ahold of a super cool dude named Ian (the customer service for Tivo is in the valley! no bangladeshi!) and explained my issue to him and asked them to turn off re-occuring billing till I can afford it, he says "would it be better if I just gave you a free month of service? your tivo will continue to work just fine and you wont be charged your regular fee until the end of June".. wait, what? FREE as in BEER? You bet your ass!
So lets recap:

So lets recap:
- Decent Drivers on the road
- Friendly Strangers at the bank
- Bank Tellers that laugh at my silliness
- Free month of TiVo
And I've only been out of bed a little more than an hour!

Also, I noticed you remarking on Abdelkader's unfortunate Sparty-ness earlier. If you are (as I suspect you may be) a Wolverine at heart, let me invite you to the College Football group. obd and I get tired of singing The Victors all by ourselves.
(Of course, if you're just another kind of Sparty-hater that's totally OK as well.)
