Let me tell you about akward.

So before i entered in to my recent 4 year relationship, I used to go dancing. 80s, indie, electro, fun stuff... My girlfriend, at the time, was never a big dancer, so visits to my local spots came few and far between. Fast forward to 3 weeks ago - we ended the relationship and parted ways. Yesterday, I went to one of my old spots and guess who walks through the door? I see blonde hair and kind of expect it .. then she turns and I see the back tattoo. Greeaat. Its the ex on my turf. God damn it. I get up and go say hi, as to not make things any more akward. In short, we ran in to each other several times through out the night. I did not have fun. I did not dance. I did not mingle. I did not return the conversation that the girls next to me were sending towards me due to a combination of respect and the situation being a drag. I did not return the flirtations of one girl in particular who overheard me talking to my buddy and blatantly hit on me, saying that we should go dance and make her jealous.

Fuck.
