I bought my plane ticket for New York last night! It took me almost an hour just to hit "confirm" when paying for it. Its all real now. I am REALLY going!

So scared & excited!!

Today, I am not doing anything for my move. Today is going to be fun & relaxing. Today is going to be prosperous and spent with good people. No negativity today.

Why am I still putting things off? Time is going faster and faster, yet I still haven't packed a single box. I did however put all my clothes in a suitcase when I have a perfectly good closet to HANG them in for another 4 weeks.

My mind is going crazy.

I helped my brother move to Phlly six months ago. All of his shit is still in boxes in his living room.

Day to day, things seem to get more difficult. I am seeing more and more who my real friends are while I prepare to move. And as the excess people slough off, i find myself more and more greatful for amazing friends, Like Dimmi. She has been great though all this, and supported me from day 1 of announcing my move. You better come...

Just got out of the shower wink and am getting ready to go to the DMV. I need to get a copy of my title so I can sell my car. I seem to have done the worst thing and LOST my copy!!!eeek

But, in preparation for NYC, I have added a few things to my Wishlist.

If you feel like giving to the cause,...

In March you're going to mostly get mid 40's and 50's but it's not impossible to get a late snowfall. For those here that's mostly spring jacket weather but if you're used to San Diago... it would probably do to have a coat just in case. If you're actually living in the city or on the L I being close to water plus all the buildings keep things pretty temperate. If you end up north or on the Jersey side (both of which are a bit cheaper) it will get a bit colder.

Best of luck on selling your car. That should be money in your pocket because you're better off on this side going without and using the MTA.

People keep asking me why I want to move.whatever
Many, many reasons. Now is the best time in my life to go. Right now, I have no attachments here. I don't have a job. I don't have many friends. I don't have responsibilities to take care of here. Its time to experience life outside of my comfort zone.
I need to live life as an...

Good for you. I'd lived in the Bronx for a while. Long enough to know you'll probably want to find a place in Queens. Manhattan and east of the city are a bit expensive and where I was from in Bronx I wouldn't recommend to a single girl alone in the city for the first time.

Unfortunately I live quite a bit north from there now. Part of my job when living there was giving tours of Manhattan every Friday and Saturday to groups coming in the area for one reason or another. Anyways, best of luck. wink

Plans are in action for me to be in New York City in March 2010!

I've researched airfares, shipping costs, started looking for jobs & apartments. I am selling all my belongings (sold my first item this morning!). I'm even selling my car. Attention San Diego: 2000 Honda Civic (green) for sale! Buy it!

I've started going through all my stuff and separating: sell, keep,...
