Okay so yesterday I posted this in my "mini-blog"... at least mini by my standards wink :

What a difference a year makes:

This was taken last Christmas...back before I lost the curl in my hair to my stupid systemic Lupus and about a month before I told my hairdresser to give me a "trim" that ended up being about 4 inches of length cut off the back frown *sighs*

And MadViking suggested that I post a picture of what I look like this year and preferably in the same red boot...here ya go!

**************************************************************************************

****************************************************************************************

Last night I got the opportunity to go to a MMA fight with qtshooter, her guy and a handful of my favorite strippers biggrin biggrin It was abso-freakin'-lutely a HOOT! I've never been to a mixed martial arts fight, or really any live fight for that matter and holy cats those guys kick ass!! The bouncer from the club was fighting last night, so all the girls wanted to go to support him and he did not dissapoint as his fight lasted 57 seconds before he made his opponent tap out with a choke hold. The best part of it all is that when people see this guy as a bouncer at the club they think he's in the wrong line of work because of his size and that he's so unassuming...but I've seen him remove people making trouble from the club before and he doesn't even break a sweat tossin' them out of the place. There are several more fight events scheduled between now and March in this tournament...I'm hoping to be able to take Flashmo next time when they fight in January!

So yesterday I mentioned that this last week has been pretty brutal and I wanted to introduce to you the main source of my stress:

They look pretty menacin' don't they?? wink

Seriously though...the new dogs have been having MAJOR issues with separation anxiety and I've been dealng with coming home everyday from work or wherever and finding our furniture strewn all over the living room and out the dog door to the back yard! We've lost three, count them three pieces of furniture in the last ten days or so frown

This is what our living room used to look like:

and this is what our living room looks like right now:

All but one of those chairs in the first picture are complete losses...in addition to my makeup bag, three $60.00 a piece Victoria Secrets bras, two pillow and a couple of throw blankets. It's been so frustrating! They aren't left alone for more than a few hours at a time without someone coming home to check on them but if you are familiar with separation anxiety at all the animals actually do the worst damage right after you leave them. Flashmo and I have had five boxers now with the three we have currently, and several of them have had separation issues but none to this degree. Things were great for the first few weeks they were home and then they got a chance to meet their "Pa" on one of his trips home at the beginning of November...then he left to go back to Califiornia and I left to go to Seattle leaving them with our daughter for the time that I was gone and that's kind of when things started getting out of hand. I know alot of people would think that we are crazy to keep them and live with a living room that's completely stripped bare...but part of the reason they got this way is that they've already had a few homes and some humans who've let them down by beating them as puppies and I just know if we can get through this they will be amazing dogs!

So...this week I got them in to the vet and they are on anti-anxiety medication now. The vet trip was a story for a whole blog in itself since I took all three boxers to the vet myself. HOLY HELL was that a bad plan! But the good news is that the meds seem to be helping and with some patient discipline and alot of love they are starting to come around a bit the last few days. I'm just hoping to reach a point soon where they do not consume my every waking free moment...I keep telling myself that will be coming soon!

Other than the dogs...If you didn't see my blog a few days back I got a shiny new present from my honey last time he was in town:

Isn't she purty?? The blue on is mine!

Now I just have to learn how to ride her wink

Actually, come to think of it...I've gotten something shiny from my honey the last two times he's been in town! The time before last I got a new .357 play with and she's a HOOT too! Flashmo and I've been out riding the 4-wheelers the last couple times he's been home and it's given me a chance to shoot her some and it is an awesome gun biggrin biggrin biggrin

Flashmo is supposed to be winding down the job in Van Nyes by Christmas so ya'll keep your collective fingers crossed for us, K? By the time he gets home this job will have lasted 6 months and we are both well beyond sick and tired of it! That would be the ultimate Christmas present for me...to have him home for awhile love love love I can't wait to resume a "normal" life again!

Ryan's been doing pretty well lately...the medication that he's been on has been really helping with both the headaches and visual disturbances that he'd been having. He's feeling well enough to get back to work, or at least to give it a try and that's encouraging. His next appointment is the 12th in Spokane with a Neurologist there...they are hoping to rule out MS as a possible cause of some of his symptoms.

Work's been OK other than the fact that I had another close encounter with an out of control resident a week or so ago. There are times when I am there that I feel the need to hide in an office for awhile so that they caregivers can get the residents calmed back down and every now and again I am not able to get into a safe place like that when they get aggitated! I don't know that I'll be wanting to have that experience many more times before I'm ready to bail but I'm trying really hard to hang tough in this job until I can get a years experience with Medicaid billing under my belt so that I can take that with me to another employer and make better money. *sighs* We'll see how it goes I guess...

I got started on Christmas today finally! Uh, quick survey:

Have you started your Christmas shopping??
Are your halls decked?
Do you enjoy Christmas?
What's your ideal way to spend Christmas?

Just curious to see where everybody else is at in this endeavor this year!

Gotta go...hoping to catch my man for a little bit before we go to bed tonight!

Lots of loves to you all kiss kiss kiss kiss
