Happy Sunday everyone!! I'm back from the 1561 mile round-trip to Spokane. My trip was most definately an adventure, to say the least!
Before I go into my "adventure" story.. I just gotta say I am so freakin' thrilled to have had the chance to have lunch with Juliett on my trip to Spokane She is just amazing, and I'm so excited to have finally met her!! It just absolutely kills me that Juliett and I lived in the same town together for all those years, and never met each other before my moving to Idaho. That just seems so surreal, you know??
Anyway, stop by and meet her yourself if you haven't yet....she's an absolute doll!! She's got a set up for second chance in the Hopefuls group, Blue Monday This is the photoshopped version, and it's incredible :kiss It was so awesome to meet her, it most definately the highlight of my trip! I only wish I had planned my trip better so that I could go to the "Pasties and Paddles" show with Juliett and all the other's from the SG Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho Group I had to fly out yesterday morning....missed all the fun, and definately missed out on seeing Madeline's burlesque show!
Other than that...My honey Flashmo posted the pics from our trip to the Art show, "Private Thoughts, Public Display". If you have a minute, stop by to see those as well! We had SO much fun that night All-in-all, the turnout was great...and the comments we heard were good, 'cepting of course the little ole' lady who said "OH MY!!!" when she say my pictures, and the one right next to her that said "I don't know who Jason is, but she better hope he never leaves her" ....we were right behind them, so my honey said "I'm Jason" and I thought the two of them were gonna jump right out of their skin, it was awesome!
My appointment went great, and it looks like I won't have to worry about the medical care and medicine thing any longer I couldn't be any happier about it!! My honey Flashmo has been so wonderful throughout this all, and I am really hoping he knows how much his support has meant to me I just wish everyone was lucky enough to have a Flashmo
I almost didn't get to go though...the weather wasn't cooperating, and I got a call about two hours before I was supposed to hope the shuttle to Boise that the roads were all closed heading that way I had to do a little fancy footwork, but was able to re-book my flight and get on the next shuttle to Salt Lake City instead, *whew* It was a pretty scary shuttle ride as we were watching other cars and shuttles sliding off into the ditches as we crossed the mountains, but we made it! I learned that when you make a change in your flight plan that the TSA tags you for extra security to board So, the moral to that story is....Uh...don't change your booking at the last minute
My trip home was a little less dramatic, and I made it home unscathed from it all. I'm SO glad to be home!! I thought I'd have some weepy kind of feelings leaving Spokane again, but as it turns out I was really, really, really looking forward to heading back here after all. It looks like Southern Idaho is formally my home now
Some pics from my adventure for ya:
