ehh. it depends. some winters arent so bad, others are. usually it's not terribly cold, there's just a lot of snow. it's managable once you get used to it. as far as housing, craigslist is probably the best one to use. for jobs, try mainetoday.com. it's the newspaper, and sunday is usually the best day to try looking. it's hit or miss usually.

i think if i was deaf, i would be in a lot of trouble. going to chicago in 5 days, im looking forward to it, i have some school work to get out of, and that long drive to look forward to
