Well....it has been a while. I have covered a lot of ground since my last up-date. Let's recap...
Took down my Christmas tree, went on a whirl wind trip to the west coast, (The Mission Inn is a great hotel in Riverside, CA if you get a chance check it out), hung out with a good buddy of mine and watched the Steelers pull it off against Indy, went to shoot a band that I am friends with and found out just how important one stop is on a camera. (the Canon XT goes to ISO 1600, wish it went to 3200 or I wish I had a lens that was 2.8) out of 200 shots, about 40 of them were worth a shit...ahhh practice, practice, and more practice. (Blame it on the lighting...naw blame it on not knowing the camera well enough to get the shot. It is a work in progress) spent some time lending an extra set of ears to the band that I useed to play drums in down in the studio (While Heaven Wept is recording a new album, for anyone that is a fan!), took my dog to the vet, he had ear infections in both ears...poor Bulldog...he's better now and I just finished taking about 150 pictures of a group of tulips I bought from the store for 4.99... such a riveting life I know...
Smoking seems to be a battle...4 days off and one day on...I had it licked for a year...I'm a dumbass for starting again...I'll just have to keep up the good fight, I'll come out ahead here soon or later.
been thinking about buying a pro light set so that I can progress into portraits and better still life photography...it will be to the tune of about 1200 bucks...worth the money if you ask me...I love cooking and always will, but I think the medium of digital sensors does more for me than the science of chemical change through heat and or the combination of various ingredients....I have been plagued with three passions in life, drumming, cooking, and photography, the drumming thing I have a small bit of success at, food will always be there, but photography is something that I can use to create, share, influence, and maybe inspire...
All in all, life is good! Not to many complaints at the moment... hope everyone is well...
