My friend Damo passed away on Sunday night from an asthma attack.
We found out yesterday afternoon and I've kinda been in shock ever since. I'm lucky enough to have had no family members die in my lifetime, and this is my first experience of death.
It's odd-at first I half expected it to be a joke. I couldn't believe I wasn't going to go over there and see him sitting on the sofa, like always. I see why people need to go to funerals now, to actually believe.
He was only 40-and the campiest, funniest gay guy ever. It's so not fair.
RIP Damo. I know you're dancing somewhere much better right now.
