Nuclear War(mth)
Plumes of smoke snake their way towards Omaha as we dance alone in our celestial Lake Woebegon. The view still steals my breath no matter how long we've been here, still amazed how they waste whats left year after year...
And I can't help but see the over stocked fish ponds of coastal Florida where as a child... I was amazed by a world not meant for me, untamed, teeming, WILD... locked in glass cages that they can't fathom, they feign a golden age while thedarkness grows inside them.
And so we dance here among the ancient stars, timeless, in a vacuum ...dead but still wiating to depart, we ached for this moment with outstretched hearts, this night we hoped for as lovers in arms. We spoke of it in hushed whispers for over a hundred years before our mouths turned to silence and stardust our tears.
And so we tango'd above Las Alamos as the first stars of a new system were born, and the nation that refused to unite was finally torn... California finally fell into the boiling sea after missiles hit U Cal, Bragg, and Berkely. The south turned black in an ironic twist as the kudzu was kissed by the ash of Oak Ridge...
And I will give another kiss, my dear, for the genesis of each new sun on our humble hemisphere, lit up in unique shades of evanescant oblivion like so many christmas lights that gave rise to deliverance.
And we will dance the dance of eternal night as the Everglades evaporate amidst the blinding light. The great forests of old quickly turn to coal, as congressmen are buried beneath by their foolish gold, and the seperate bones that used to hold our bodies together will melt in the firestorm; unified: one world, one heart, one love...
Forever.
