I'm thinking about getting my dragon on the back of my neck filled in all black and maybe a symbol above it a little higher in kanji or elven or script saying desire or something..
What do you guys think?

It'd be a shame to ruin that lovely shading. I'd be wanting to do a couple of tests on paper and then with a marker on your skin before embarking on that.
