I know it's New Year's Eve, but frankly today just feels like Wednesday. In principle, I approve of debauchery on New Year's, at least as much as any other day. But in practice, I'm not really into it. At its worst, it can seem kind of forced, with all the amateur partiers running around. The very best NYE parties can change your life and make you a better person, but that has can happen unexpectedly any other day of the year just as much.
