Well, let's see... what happened this weekend... Ummm got a phone call at 6am on Saturday to go to one of the clubs on base in uniform and with my ID. And if it weren't so early, I'd have realized what was going on before I got there. That's right, kids, squadron-wide urinalysis. Imagine, 500 disgruntled Airmen, half hung over or still drunk from the night before, waiting in line to have somebody watch them pee in a cup. Yeah, they actually have to watch. Good times...
Then I read, went to the grocery store, read some more, went to bed. Sunday was the ride, and it was pretty fantastic. I love finding new trails and not getting lost. Korea really should advertise the mountain biking here more, the tourism would go way up. Okay, maybe not way up, but the some of the people getting assigned here would probably be less apprehensive about coming. Anyway, back to the ride, no injuries for yours truly, and only one semi-major crash to report. One of the FNGs went ass over and bruised himself up a bit, but he rode away, and it looks like he'll be joining us again next weekend. Oh, and I did a little math, and it turns out that between riding to work and the 12 or so miles on the weekends, I'll be putting in about 1100 miles in the year I'm here. Not too shabby.
Now it's Monday, and all I can say is that I'm 81% done with this place. 72 more days...
