Hhhmmmmm, how are all of you? I need you all to send some e-love to my friend hellbelly. He's recently back in the fold and this site is better for it, even though he don't post so much.
Monday is Memorial Day, and I'll be thinking about my brothers in arms around the world and the veterans who made this world a bette place through their blood, sweat, and, yes, tears. Here are the rules of engagment concerning flying the flag on Memorial Day:
Fly the Flag at half-mast until noon (when flying the flag at half-mast, run the flag all the way to the top then bring it down to half-mast).
At noon, raise the flag to full-mast until darkness falls.
Oh, and if you happen to be at a parade, and a Veteran marches past carrying an American Flag, the respectful thing to do is stand. Not for the Vet (although he/she's earned it), but it's out of respect for the flag. Things you learn studying for stripes in the Air Force.
Anywho, I hope you all have a great Memorial Day. Have beer, hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, the whole nine. But take some time, even if it's just a moment, to think about the Vets that helped make this country what it is. Love to you all.
