Happy Holidays for all who have celebrated and a good week to those who just like enjoying life!
I'm going to take a break right here and explain a certain website to ya'll who may be reading:

You have the "star" of Dirty Jobs proclaiming that the American trade has gone downhill; no, wait, that Americans have deemed "Hard Work" as an evil that must be stopped. What Mr.Rowe wants to do is to turn that perspective upside down. He wants the Americans to realize that there are a lot of jobs out there, a lot of trade areas, that you could feel secure in and at the same time, strengthen the country with your skills in your trade.
Either in a interview or from what he said, I can't seem to remember, Mr. Rowe was discussing how parents these days think that going to the College is a necessity and while it is important to have an education, it does not mean that other venues are not just as important.
I went to private school all my life. My parents, who worked hard and tried (fonts can not reach the level to pronounce that word in this sentence) to send me somewhere where the education was top-notch. Dudes, I can safely say I am NOT one of those people that can listen to a Professor or Teacher, take a written exam, and say "I know everything from that class".
I'm a hands-on person. I need to tinker with stuff. I need to know how things work. I want a reason for the explanation, I want to use the knowledge I learned in my every day life. I WANT TRADE(S)! I'm sure there are LOTS of others kids who are in sophisticated schools and classes that feel the same way. Yet there are no real active outlets for those areas.

There is nothing wrong with a good days hard work, no matter what you do. The benefit of watching Mike on his show and reaching out to these people who do all these different types of jobs is that there are plenty of jobs out there. Yes, some of them can be dirty, smelly, bloody, violent, and can be all of the above; but the sensation of physically seeing and mentally accepting your hard work, of seeing it manifest before you...
If your still reading this, I think I can end my rant for now, heh. However I'd like to know if you have a job many others would find it difficult or "hard work" to do, yet you enjoy. Let me (and the others on SG) know that hard work is not a penalty of life, but a complimentary walk through the valley of success.
