Well, the show went well. Rachel and Vince from Zolof the Rock and Roll Destroyer liked our band, and that's a damn honor to be sure. The venue sucked. I'd never play there again. So unfriendly to bands and to fans alike. Icky icky icky. But except for that, it was fun. Exhausting, but fun.
We went up to Townsend, WI for Memorial Day weekend. Beautiful. At one point I was awoken from my drunken past out state by a breathtaking thunderstorm. I watched as lightening danced across the lake, turning the sky electric purple. It was beautiful. I also saw a loon (my favorite) and a turtle. And we saw a bald eagle swoop down from above and dive towards the lake to catch a fish. We all stopped and watched in awe. Amazing. It was hot enough this year to wade in the water on a sand bar. Last year, I tried swimming and nearly killed myself. The water was like 40 degrees. This year, it was 90 degrees out. The water was cool, but not frigid. It was probably 60 degrees or so.
I'm pretty happy.
