Its's Friday...yay! God-damn-mutha-fucking-friday! (i've already apologized for my overuse of the word "yay"-- As i act like it's the last day of school. ) I'm excited because it's a slow ride into the office, paperwork in a comfyish chair and home for the next 3 days--a little time in, if you will.
It's something i took for granted all our time together a year a go when jim wasn't working. We appreciate our time together and i guess for my 35th bday the lesson is...cause every year you learn a lesson... "absence makes the heart grow fonder".
Call it a personal philosophy, call it paying attention and "gettin it", but all those old wife sayings, do in the end, vibrate with a similar chord in one's own life. Recent yearly examples:
-a stitch in time saves nine
-don't put all your eggs in one basket
-you can't eat your cake now, and have it later (aka: you can't have your cake and eat it too)
Tell me your favorite old saying--i love those. Now i'm off to work, the drive thru the greening hills, repetive and comforting, slow and growing more picturesque by the day.

Let's see ... I appreciate his honesty, perspective, his celebration of imperfection according to popular culture and his general distaste of corporate America.
What do you think of him?
I love the documentary on him.
