It was a hell of a day. I was calm going in, but i had that same anticipating anxious feeling i had the morning i was going to get married. A little different.
It started off pretty well, the pain was tolerable. I remember thinking "oh yeah, i forgot that the outling hits every nerve trigger in the body". I didn't have expectations and tried to feep a focus and chant, but wow, i was unprepared for the scale.
As the time went on longer more sensitive spots kept being hit, and it got unbearable. Humbling. The more it hurt, the more i tensed up, causing it to hurt more. When i finally completly submitted, it was better.
The design is really a spiritual symbol filled with things meaningful to me. The symbol in the middle is my sigil (my signature). I pretended it was a penance. Something little for so much good. I was emotionally and physically drained by the end of it. But now, there is no pain, just a slight sunburn feeling and the world is all good.
I'm proud of myself for committing to it. Next time, a 2 hour session...much better i think.
Put up pics in my folders for tattoo progress.
