1. Take insatiable curiosity and saturate thoroughly with ADD, depression, and anxiety
2. Gather together this chaotically whirling mess you've just created and bind it together with a sharp intellect.
3. Anthropomorphize.
Voila, you now have your own real, live jensck action figure!
...congratulations?
I've been reading a book about ADD called "Driven to Distraction". It's incredibly depressing to see most of one's life and identity described on paper by someone who's never met you. I'm not sure why exactly it's so depressing to feel so easily deconstructed, but it seems from what I'm reading like basically all of my innate urges, the patterns I follow, my passions - all the things that seem like what one could reasonably call one's identity or self - are a product of the mixture I gave in the above "recipe". That's it? I'm a collection of illnesses and capacities?
Maybe I expect too much from existence, or perhaps I'm secretly still egocentric enough to think I ought to be more "special" than just a handful of syndromes bundled together with some smarts.
