I finished (or near enough), fan art of the ever so stunning Zoli - i hope ive done her justice, I used a Wacom graphic tablet and a trial version of Painter (first time doing a digital painting, so im chuffed, i followed a general tutorial in an old computer arts mag). Any comments or advice is welcome!

And heres a little flash movie to see the stages of painting! clicky!
2) BAND NEWS
New singer has grown on me and impressed me at the studio when we did a recording session at Glamorgan Uni - could hear her properly! The day was good, got the song down (I totally couldnt hear myself playing at one point and was doing my nut in!!!), so we need to wait for it to be magically mixed/mastered etc and then we'll have a better copy of Now Is The Time with vocals to go up on our myspace. Hoorah!
The gig on saturday actually went really well too! It was giles' birthday so we were just gonna have a laugh no matter what. It was a half empty (or even more than that!) in Neath, so a good first gig with the new singer - especially as we've not had more than 3 sessions with her.

The set was:
2 minutes to midnight (Maiden), Kiss of Death (Dokken), Crazy Train (Ozzy), Seasons in the Abyss (Slayer), Now is the time (US!).
Below is Thumri new vocalist with the line up of Triaxis I did have a photo of her

Went down really well, and got reviewed:
Tri-Axis were the next band on stage, bringing power and glamour to the proceedings. They played cover versions, mainly, with nods to Iron Maiden in the form of an excellent rendition of 2 Minutes To Midnight, and Dokken with a brilliant version of Kiss Of Death (thanks John!). The double lead guitar sound from this band was outstanding, and the vocals were delivered by a gorgeous petite missy, who appeared a little nervous, but came through nonetheless. They finished off with one of their own recently recorded numbers, the title of which escapes me at this time, so I'm gonna badger them for that, for play out on the Rock Show as soon as I can get hold of one of them! Well worth finding out their gig pattern. Really worth buying a ticket.
3) GENERAL LIFE
Good, busy but good!... band going well, uni ermm ongoing? HOWEVER I got filmed by BBC Wales, i may appear in a program on New Media (possible broadcast on march 12th , bbc after newsnight around 11?). At uni i was asked to be interviewed.. like really randomly and wanted to see some work and they said they'd ask questions.. i had ZERO time to prepare so i rambled a bit! And showed some work from last year. I will let you know if im definately in it. And i also managed to plug the band as the documentary was originally going to be on user generated content (e.g. myspace, youtube etc). So hoorah! I will be a right knob.. but it may be funny.lol.
Me being a knob - just incase you didnt know i was
Anyway i better get on with work n shit. Let me know how things are with you!

Uni is good, everything seems to be going well, work wise. Trying to work out how to climb the networking trees!
