I have had several regular Denny's wait staff that went above and beyond the call of duty. I have also had a few that were terrible and when we found those we would scope out a new Denny's. There is one in Fullerton on Harbor that I still frequent on occasion. The waitress is now a shift manager but she still takes time to come and chat with us and my freinds have even got her birthday cards and gifts in the past. She gives me a hard time for ordering hald coke and lemonade but she always brings it.
Knowing the names of waiters and waitresess tends to make good service even better. When me and my wrokmates would hit Rubies, Chilis, or Olive Garden for lunch it was always Melanie, Kelly, or Bricker, got to the point where we knew their days off and that influanced where we went.
If you make the jump to move in with eachother make sure you have your own space that you can escape to and that he will respect and leave that space at your request, it was a mistake I had to rectify with my Ex, if either person is a more domineering personality then the softer personality needs an escpae to prevent being smothered. This is only form my experiences and could have no relevance to you and your situation.

I was getting worried for a second when I began to read your post. I thought, man I know so many girls that have ex husbands now and here is this other girl ready to fall into that trap. Now what I think is going on. He does not want to get married, he wants to fantasize about getting married. When you started to go along he got scared. Everyone wants to think the future is going to be secure and comfortable and to that end we want the relationships we are in to last forever if they are going well. We can get a little shaken up when reality starts to press its way into the fantasy we create and I am guessing that is what happened with him.
Now. you need to be honest with him. Let him know how you feel and what you mean to him, also let him know what you want from your life before you take that walk. Also let him know that he should come to you with his concerns.
A final note, when and if you hit him up with anything, don't expect him to have the answers to questions you have right away. Give him a chance to think about them, anything you have been thinking about asking, he will need as much time to formulate his thoughts and concerns as well.
I wish you well in your endevers. It should be good for both of you.
