* "Baby Mama" wasn't as laugh-out-loud funny as I'd been anticipating--in fact, it might have veered into overly sentimental had it not been for the presence of Steve Martin. Steve Martin, you saved this movie for me. I didn't even know you were in the film, but you were awesome.
* "Burn After Reading" is definitely worth a watch. Not quite as good or as re-watchable as "Big Lebowski," in my opinion, but still very funny. George Clooney's surprise invention is awesome.
* We just bought a cat hat for Janet at Target. She hates it, which will be providing us with hours of entertainment. She got new toys too. She is a spoiled cat.
* I'm bummed out about David Foster Wallace killing himself. I'm pretty sure a grad school buddy of mine knew him from his undergrad at Pomona College, and even if his work wasn't my cup of tea, it's sad that someone so talented is gone.
* SilentRyan is watching an awful lot of BBC America lately. Right now it's The Office UK, which is not as funny as The Office USA. Maybe I'm just over British humor.
* I REALLY miss my Bettie bangs. I think I'm going to look into getting them cut back in. I need another paycheck or two under my belt first though, so I can get a proper haircut as well.
* I should probably also get myself to the gym. I have a free YMCA membership through work, I just haven't used it yet. I'll stop by after work on Monday, I think.
* Ryan can't stop reminding me about George Clooney's surprise invention. We have a hand signal for it, but I can't tell you about it in case I spoil you.
* I'm making Risotto tonight. Nom nom nom.
ETA: Fuck, I really just miss the way that I used to look. My hair is it's natural red right now, which isn't nearly dramatic enough for me, and it's in that stupid growing out length, and the layers are all crazy and I miss my bangs. Also, my face is slightly off the shape it normally is because I've gained a bit of weight over the last 2 months. This is how I'm supposed to look:
Something to strive toward.
