Why I Love SG Bedroom Sets
I've been reading a lot of posts lately in the Hopefuls group about how certain set ideas are way overdone. Namely, bedroom sets. Personally, I am -stoked- when an SG does a bedroom set.... they're my absolute favourites, and I'll tell you why.
First off, most girls feel more comfortable in their bedrooms. I know I do. When I did my first PSW set, it was in a more unfamiliar livingroom. It was stiff and kind of unnatural. My second set, however, I decided to do a bedroom set of sorts. Its pretty plain, but I was definitely more into it because I felt totally comfortable. I think girls are at their best in the bedroom, so to speak.
Secondly, it's all about character. You want to get to know your favourite SG? Nothing will tell you more about somebody than their bedrooms. I did a photo series on that particular subject, actually. But it's just the little things that make someone that-much-more appealing. For example.
Katie, in her 'A Shout Out' set... when I saw this bedroom shot, I got all giggly and tingly to see she had Ash sitting on her desk. Rad.
Scarlett's Manson pictures and dried roses on the wall in this shot. Yeah, look past the total hotness... there's stuff on the walls!
Or
Nadine's band posters on the wall in this one.... okay, so that wasn't a great 'poster' example, but I just really wanted an excuse to post this picture because it's so bloody sexy.
But you get the idea. Maybe one of your favourite girls has a band poster on her wall of some obscure band from Nowhere, Georgia that you just happen to worship. Y'know?
That's the best part about Suicide Girls. The real-ness and character that they exude. You could almost reach out and touch them. But if that were the case, I don't think I'd ever leave the keyboard.
Sidenote: Post a link to another good example of a bedroom set... I'd love to see your picks!
