Busy weekend. The boy asked me what I wanted for my birthday. I couldn't think of a damn thing. I asked him to come shopping with me so I can buy some new clothes, and give me honest criticism and not to whine. So that's what he's going to do for me for my birthday. What a sweetheart.
And after three years of tentative planning and numerous attempts at sketching my sleeve, the project has finally had a breakthrough. Sean hates Burton. So Jason and I are happily working on the design process now. "I hate those fucking stick men. I don't know how that guy has the money that he does. His artwork is /wrong/." Hahah. I love it. And judging from examples of work I've seen, I think Jason is better suited to doing this type of sleeve anyways. So I'm happy now. Sean can stick to my left arm and pinup girls!
I bought a new lens yesterday for my old Canon. I don't care that it doesn't have fancy metering systems and autofocus, I love it to death. So she gets a new toy. 70-210mm f2.8, yay! 1:8 macro, which isn't fantastic, but it's fun to play with. And diffusion filter. Muahah. Artsy soft focus pictures it is. I went to play around and take pictures in the garden this morning, and there's bear shit in the squash bushes. How nice. My stray kitty was one step ahead of me everytime I walked into the garden, I think (s)he was trying to protect me from prospective bear attacks (the garden backs onto a patch of forest by the riverbank, easy hiding place for bears). Whenever I got too close to the forest, she'd claw at my calves. What a sweetheart.
New lab manager started at my work yesterday. He's half the size of me, short spikey hair, one hoop-earring, somewhat effeminate. He drives a yellow Miata. He's off the radar. "It's a Miata!"
Someone pleeeeeeeease come get drunk with me tomorrow night.
