Sunday, sunday, sunday. The Pride Parade was Sunday here in Vancouver, it was a lot of fun. The parade itself was... yknow, a parade, so it got a little tiring after 2 hrs of it. So we headed to Sunset Beach where the parade go-ers end up for a party at the end of the parade.
We stood in line for a couple of hours (yeah, it was awful) and only got in about an hour before the party shut down. hah. However, that hour was so much fun, such a good time was had. And while dancing in front of the stage, I could feel someone's eyes on me... I look up, and our friend Patrick (visiting from Florida) is looking at me from over the other side of the gate with another friend of ours, waving and smiling. Oh it was glorious. =)
Beers and more fun times were had. Ohhh happy pride. I attended pride with my best friend and his boyfriend, and a couple of their friends as well. I was the only girl, and felt somewhat out of place. heh. It was still a whole lot of fun, nonetheless. Can't wait to do it again next year. =)
And last night sealed this whole trip for me, it was really great. A friend I met here on SG about six years ago invited me over for dinner. He's a fabulous cook and an even better conversationalist. =) I'm so thankful to have friends like him, even after a couple years of lost connection. What a great city Vancouver is.
(I know it's technically over, but it still courses through my veins)
