So I've had this concept knocking around in my head since a Pathfinder game half a decade ago. My character was Droga Wolfmother, an Orc druid who was raised by, and subsequently became the leader of a pack of wolves and protector of a wild mountain forest. She was elemental, made everything by hand, and wove leaves, flowers and bones into her hair and outfit. Anyway, I had some sketches of her and decided to try and make a full game ready character model and rig. This is a start, I used the model/artist Tsunaina as reference for her face and features and am mucking about with base colors, skin tone, warpaint, etc. The hide armor needs more roughness, and there's many more trinkets and other things that will be woven into her hair which will be a whole thing in and of itself! Plenty of work to do, but using this for instruction for my students in my 3D character class. Sculpted in ZBrush, retopo and UV in Maya, paint in Substance with integration into UE 5.5 (eventually). The last image is direct screen from Substance Painter so forgive the odd fish eye effect.
