woohoo! we're back! what an awesome time. life in costa rica dilates out to infinity after a couple of days. after two days, with no internet or cell phone service, you lost track of the time and begin to just estimate. then when you find out the actual time, you're surprised to find it's way earlier than you had estimated. after about four days you lose track of the date, you can't remember if it's tuesday or wednesday or thursday. by the fifth day you're so disconnected you feel as though you've been there for weeks, and after the fifth day time just seems to stretch out before you like a big, lazy cat. it's awesome.
the wedding was beautiful, and the reception was debaucherous. my favorite. no broken bones this time, but we did manage to catch the bug that was passing from person to person in the wedding party.
all in all it was quite a wonderful adventure, and absolutely lovely being with all the people we love. got to do some snorkeling, hiked up through a rainforest and saw some monkeys and other crazy animals, rode a horse through the jungle and got it to a gallop through the surf on the beach. the rest of the time was spent drinking, eating, and soaking ourselves in the pool in the 80 degree rain. gorgeous! so many pictures and so little time to resize them and post them. perhaps jelly will take the time to do it. anyway, hope the last few weeks have been good for everyone. back to work for your dear narrator...gotta' make up for 10 days no pay!
just gonna' relax this weekend in prep for a big push next week at EA. then the holiday. so if i don't update by then...happy thanksgiving! xo
