well well well! happy new year! been a while since i posted up the latest in the lives of jellyfishy. needless to say it can be summarized as BUSY!
so in august i (fishy) was doing contract work at EA for the Command & Conquer 4 game which is in stores now. just doing some animations for various units in the game. the game itself got a pretty luke-warm reception as far as reviews. after that EA did some major cutbacks and re-organizations. they had been talking to me about jumping on an extended contract term for Medal of Honor. after the cutbacks and stuff i was pretty certain it wasn't going to happen so i applied at blizzard and some other places. no sooner had i done that EA contacted me and brought me on board until may...and possibly longer. the blizzard application went well, but by the time i started the animation test i was already neck deep in work at EA. so i got it done and sent it in but it wasn't quite what they were looking for. either way it was good to get the interviews and i'll most certainly re-apply in the future. right now tho it's sort of blessing. EA is down in playa vista and i live in north hollywood. it's a 1.25 hour commute which is a fuckload of time to be in the car. blizzard would be an insane 2.5 hour commute. fuck that noise. closer is better right now, but i would make the exception if it was blizz.
anyway besides that new years was fun. went to this wine bar in downtown la with our friends and just got wasted and ate some awesome food.
after that the break it was back to the grind. there's lots to do on the MOH game and it's quite fun. we worked on our house quite a bit. i pulled up all the carpet and exposed all the fabulous hardwood underneath it. it's in awesome condition! i was very pleased about this! i also FINALLY got my emmy statue for my work on Sports Science in 2008!
i'm plotting world domination in this image i guess lol. needless to say my family is stoked, and everyone who comes over to the house wants to hold it. it weighs like 10 lbs.! lol
we also got a new puppy! her name is Nurgle...
...aka The Spaz. she's only a year old so she's still quite energetic. much more active than our other pup. but they get along great. when we first got her she was in season and horney as a ten-peckered owl. man, if it was hump-able she was humping it. what a mess. now she's out of season and we're getting ready to fix her...though we did contemplate for a second actually breeding her with our frends chihuahua...i think that was just more the booze talking
jelly also threw me a raging birthday party last weekend and we invited all our friends over to the house to dance and sing and get naked...just kidding about the last part but good times were had all around...
we've taken up working out and exercising more. i work out for an hour and a half every day, five days a week. i do about 45 of cardio and then another 45 of weights with a different set of muscles every day. i've also cut back my calorie intake by about 300 calories. for a total of - 600 cals per day, which is - 3000 cals per week...so ALMOST a pound per week. i plan on reducing my intake further to hasten the weight loss. in any event i feel great! tons more energy. gotta' love the EA gym! i'm gonna take full advantage of it until i'm done there lol. like today for example, me and jelly are going to head on down there for a workout once she gets back from waxing her delicious hoo-ha. TMI? yeah well deal with it
anyway that's about it for now. thank you everyone for the comments. if you see the tag "SHIJO" from me on a set...it means...well...let's just say it means i REALLY enjoyed your set
until next time!
