*phew!* coachella was awesome! did anyone else go? our friends and ourselves (or is it we, which is grammatically correct?) rented this big house with a pool - we do it every year - then raged for 4 days. sleeping til 3 or 4pm and getting up to see the shows at night. all in all a really great time. now, weeks later, i've found myself somewhat recovered! 
we're looking for houses and have bids on a few out here so we'll see. in the next couple of months i'll prolly be getting a bit more money due to some profit-sharing program from my last job?!? this could either be a massive windfall of epic proportions (i worked at that company for over 3 years!!) or a lil extra money for a new bike and to pay some bills. either way it's money that isn't expected, but i don't know when it's coming or for how much...needless to say the anticipation is KILLING ME. lol.
we'll see i guess. i don't know if i mentioned it before, but Pirates 2: Stagnetti's Revenge was the winner of 15 AVN awards, 2 of which were for Best Visual FX and Best Art Direction! aaaw yeah! i'll be receiving my award soon (those things are frikkin' expensive! $300) but no sooner will it arrive then i will have to make room for my EMMY! that's right! i won an EMMY!
it's actually a sports emmy. the ceremony was monday and it was all the television shows for sports and sports news and stuff. the show i've been working on is Sports Science - it's on FSN (or FSW) sundays at 9pm (but they replay it a LOT). anyway, we were nominated for several things and took home a Best Sports New Programming (or something like that) and MORE IMPORTANTLY the Best Graphic Design!! yay! i worked on about 10 sequences for several of the episodes of the show, most notably the kick to the nuts stuff lol. all of the 3d camera work and animation is mine, render and lighting MAYBE a little bit but that's more the rendertime guys who also rock! so yeah this is all pretty sweet. if you haven't seen either Pirates 2 OR Sports Science go check them out...on the Pirates 2 movie i'm credited as ARTHUR RIMWOOD lmao...middle name + street you lived on growing up = porn name. lol
