it's official - sept 16th i leave israel at 11am in order to head back to JB's hometown of syracuse, new york until the 4th of august.
i am excited..and a bit nervous all at once.
but more so, i am excited.
i am in my strategic surprise class - we are looking at case studies that involve well, the title of this course in regards to information and so on. last week we looked at barbarossa and this week, pearl harbor. right now we are watching "tora tora tora" b/c it is a good historical depiction of what is going on HOWEVER my attention span is null and there are subtitles when the japanese speak....oy. so i am reading up stuff on wiki.
this is the same prof (i have 2 classes w/ him) who, last week in our deterrence class, showed "dr. strangelove." i think he is getting lazy w/ the teaching.
i don't mind so much.
so ticket to the US is bought and money put aside for the hotel, car rental, and spending money for the weekend w/ joual in eilat
just got to take out a bit to do some shopping tomorrow and wednesday so i can actually buy like light dresses and stuff b/c it's going to be hotter than hades in eilat (hence why hotel prices are cheap in eilat right now..the temp gets easily over 100 Fahrenheit during august and i will be down in that region 2 weekends in a row) and will need them. besides, joual said one night we will dress up, so i actually need something to dress up w/...haha.
sunday, we decided, to take a detour on the way back to tel aviv and do a hike through ein gedi
a week from friday - PETRA!
little more than a month from now...US!
but really, right now, i can't wait to go to eilat w/ my love.
that is what is getting me through this week
okay, pack to attempting to pay attention to subtitles....

If you're going to see a film in class, it might as well be a Stanley Kubrick film, right?
