SIDE NOTE: i had a really awesome blog yesterday, pics included, but the computer ate it. i'll post pics once i get my computer fully functional again.
my fucking mp3 player bit the dust last night on the way back from tel aviv after meeting a friend for coffee. it turns on but it won't play. it was already starting to kick it, to turn it off, you had to take out the battery. but, like my powerbox (which is still attempting to be fixed) i wait til the last minute and then it just toally dies. i want a new one, a nice one, a non batter-powered one, but alas, money is tight. my little pile is still no more. i really need to finish the paperwork to get paid for the fall semester. i also need to finish FAFSA out b/c i know i will get money back from them based on what i've already put down on my tuition. so i guess i will be walking in silence (well, not really b/c there is always noise outside), i just don't like it b/c then my brain starts going and thinking and then i end up at my destination usually a bit bitter and depressed about something.
so now on the list of things JB needs to get include a new MP3 player, a new pair of black converse all stars low tops (i tried finding a pair online that had some funky design, especially something w/ stars, didn't work out), and hooks to put on the wall to hang up towels and such.
told my mom i wanted an external harddrive for my bday (since moving to israel, i only tend to ask for items i need, past items have included a new LLbean bookbag, a 3-in-1 jacket, rain boots...so on). my mom, still trying, wants to get me jewlery. again. every year i manage to sway her off this track. but she seems hell bent. maybe i am one of the few girls out there that thinks in more practical terms. i don't know. but i am thinking maybe i ought to let my mom win this round...for once. her daughter will be a girl and go w/ the jewlery. only new problem - i hate everything on the site she sent me except for a simple sterling silver bracelet cuff. oh well.
exams due tuesday. i have a feeling i am going to end up doing the majority tomorrow. not so bad, one exam took like like 10 minutes to really grade. i am not all that worried. they will get done. i feel like i am going to be more lenient w/ the exams though than i was for the paper. ehh. whatever.
joual has 4 months left in the army. it's all about the countdown now. homestretch and all that jazz. after he gets out, he said we are going to go for a weekend to eilat or something of the sort. that excites me massive amounts of a lot. then he is probably going to travel for a bit and depending on where he goes and my finances, i might try to meet up w/ him at one point during his traveling. i am just really excited for him to be out and i know how much he just wants it to be done by now and then he can figure out what his next step is.
hell, i am not in the army and i have to think about what my next step in life is...i have no idea.
all i know is i want to take a year off.
oh, apparently may 18th the MA program is taking a trip to the lebanese/israel border to meet w/ the UN peacekeeping org. maybe i should tell them that i wrote a paper about the sucky job the UN does in ending conflict...haha.
well, i am going to go and pretend to get ready for a bit, but really, watch tv on the computer.
prooooocrastination.
but i feel that they exams are still from fall semester, i said that spring semester i wouldn't be a slacker anymore.
loophole found and implemented.
oh, and i'm back to blonde. pictures to be posted...well, eventually.
