paper 4 of 5 has been handed in and i have to say, i don't think it came out so bad. i have found myself really interested in reading about intervention during conflicts and whatnot and maybe i am starting to find my niche in this whole program. who knows. but i find it interesting none-the-less. i am taking a course this semester on post-conflict reconstruction and we will see how that goes.
besides that course, this spring i am also taking:
-the political system of israel
-conflict analysis and resolution
-psychological and cultural aspects of conflict management
-international political economy
-law and international conflict
and if that's not enough for you, here's what i am taking this summer:
-deterrence strategies
-public diplomacy
-war, peace and strategic aspects of international relations
-counter-terrorism issues and challenges for homeland security
-post modern terrorism -CBRN
-ideology of modern terrorism and guerrilla warfare

now i have my last paper due, problems of intervention during conflict and how it prolongs conflict. part of my paper is on NGOs so i can just take parts of the paper i just wrote and copy-paste. it's good to chose overlapping topics. haha. score.
i've decided i need to stop complaining b/c really, it gets me nowhere. plus, i hate people who do nothing but complain all the time...like my roommate. i want to scream at people to stop being a negative person. negativity doesn't do anyone any good and yea, stop it. yea, life might not be how you like it right now, we all have times like that, but look at the good things also.
and remember, it can always be worse.
i made a promise to start having more of a positive outlook on stuff, i heard it increases your life expectancy.
i am really upset b/c there's a concert in syracuse about to happen and i wish i could go - avenged sevenfold, buckcherry and paparoach. i loved syracuse for the fact that it was right in the middle of NY and so all major concerts would go there or be w/in an hour vicinity of syracuse. i kept a list of bands i saw while in the US and the list is well over 100 (not counting the bands i saw more than once - winner is staind w/ 4 times). i was a total concert junkie. i listen to my radio station in the states on my computer (they stream online internationally...thank god) and they talk about the concerts going on and arg...it saddens me. it's a hardcore tease.
joual might be home this coming weekend which will be nice. but i will have to bring some exams to grade b/c those need to be done by the 24th. but at least my papers will be done. that's always a plus. i will look forward to another relaxing weekend w/ the my soldier boy
i told him next time he was home, we would try making another indian dish of some sort. maybe chicken curry. mmmm....
