i might have just written 18 pages of the best bullshit known to man.
i might hate being a hardcore procrastinator but damn if it doesn't result in good work.
i just analyzed the problems w/ integrating schools in the deep south in the 1950s using elitist and new institutionalist theories...HA!
one more paper due this week...goal to have it in by thursday before i need to jet off to the hotel.
i just need an 80 on the final paper in order to get above an 80 in the class...that's all.
and then 2 more papers due 2 weeks from now (both of which i have no clues on topics...arg...), an exam to proctor and an exam to retake.
i didn't do as well as i would have liked on my decision making exam - apparently i made wrong decisions w/ my 25 multiple choice exam...arg. i studied for it wrong and now i will retake it. that's the good thing about israeli university - do you not like your grade? did you fail? were you not even able to take the exam due to personal circumstances? that's okay b/c there is always the moed bet - the second chance you have to take an exam. it's a fabulous invention, really and i plan to use it to my advantage. i took a moed bet once before b/c i skipped out of an exam - i had to help joual clean up a mess...lol. no big deal. just waited like 3 weeks for the next one.
i don't mind so much, i just know i can do better.
but me being done (this next paper is really just me putting together the other papers we handed in for one giant paper) means that tonight, after work, those who have sent me messages will get a response, blogs will be looked at and all will be right w/ the world. people will get their deserved lovin' from JB.
but you know what isn't right w/ the world...or at least NY state? the new obesity tax. it's completely illogical and unreasonable. it isn't going to make people stop. raising the prices of cigarettes didn't make more people quit, do they really think that by putting taxes on foods deemed "unhealthy" will prevent people from eating it? i don't think so either. the key is prevention and the key is teaching people so they will want to listen and want to take better care of themselves.
american has a bad body image. putting the oinking pig in the fridge that goes off when you open it doesn't stop you from taking out that huge chunk of chocolate.
it's raining, we need it. i didn't go to bed til 1am (mmm...paper writing goodness...not) and around 5am i woke up to what sounded like my roof about to cave in and my window about to break...it was a bit insane.
but i love the rain...damnit.
better than snow. i don't think i would ever be able to survive an upstate NY winter anymore, i've been gone over 3 years now. september was freezing to me. i'd be a popsicle in february.
anyway, i must rush to print this out and get it in. i don't want to be any later to work than i think i will be.
xoxo
