i made indian food for the first time today - butter chicken - and it wasn't bad. i didn't know how it tastes but it is joual's favorite and he said it was good, so score one for me



but me, being an ex-chef and all, is already coming up w/ ways to change the recipe slightly...adding a bit more of one thing and less of another and so on. also, i need to use more chicken...my boyfriend eats a lot.

elections still going on...
if you think the US is bad at voter turnout, as of 8pm (and the polls have been open since 7am), only about 50% of the country turned out to vote.

i want this man to win




go bibi! i read a site that said that even if tzipi wins, that the knesset is going to be so full of right-wing parties that anything she wants to do (IE: give up the golan heights....which is a big "hell fucking no" over here w/ this chick) the right will slam her down. but i don't want her in office. it isn't that i am anti a woman running this country (we've been there and done that w/ golda meir), i just don't...like...tzipi. and her nose reminds me of barbara streisand's...::shudder::

tomorrow....work. thursday....work then school and then to spend the weekend in tel aviv

i really don't spend time in my apartment. next week i will be home to sleep but during the days, i will be running around.

oh, and b/c the hotel fucked up and didn't tell my friend about massive construction occurring, i might end up w/ a free hotel room for the night. it'd be better if i didn't have to have it alone...but at least it means no drunken cab rides home at 2am.

i'm a fan of that.

and i get to spend valentine's day w/ the boy. i haven't ever been a huge fan. hell, i won an honorable mention in a big NY high school journalist competition writing about how this holiday is nothing more than consumerism at it's finest and has lost true meaning. seriously. it was a good article. but i don't know, him being around for it, it gives me some kinda hope.

but i still think these are funny.
