Hi All,
I took Michael to the doctor for a follow up and he is doing much better. He also handled the whole appointment thing like a champ. I was very proud of him. He gets really nervous, so I never know how it will go, but today was a dream. Yep, proud Papa!
After the doctor's we went to his School. Micheal is enrolled in an early preschool program with the county school district. Anyway they had an after school project sponsored by Home Depot. The project of the day was building butterfly houses.
Micheal was so happy to be there the smile on his face was huge. That was worth the trip alone, but it got even bigger when they gave him a cute little Home Depot work apron. He helped with the glue, but got real nervous with the hammer and the noise of people hammering. Like a champ though he got over the loud noises and after a couple times of me putting in nails in a goofy fashion he was willing to try. He loved it. He gave me a big grin and said, "Look Dad, I'm a builder." I really love that boy. He made me so proud today.
After we got a certificate and a pin to put on his apron for finishing the project.
Sometimes crappy days can really turn great.
